There is a ‘wild west’ element to be discovered in some Spring/Summer 2012 Collections which seems to be moving to the next season as well. The modern interpretation of it can be found in vivid colors, unexpected combinations and forms, interplay of volumes and materials as well as simplification of folk motifs. Thakoon and Dsquared2 were fully dedicated to this reinvented western style while other designers just added a pop of western attitude to their shows. Jeremy Scott offered his playful approach while Etro presented magnificent sophistication to wearable pieces with charming prints. On the edgy side, you will find Balenciaga focusing on details.
