A young designer from Cyprus, Stelios Koudounaris, presented his total black and brown collection during Athens Xclusive Designers Week. His major feature was the flounced formations that adorned tailored suits, as well as loose dresses. Flounces were on sleeves, top frontals and neck-pieces. There where also some add-on pieces that decorated stretch dresses. I liked the concept but I think that the was too much opaque fabric there – even the pantyhose – which in combination with the strict, dark-and-single color choice, made me feel a little bored. Definitely, he wasn’t dealing with the uplifting aspect of fashion, but that’s not a problem when the execution is unique or the result is solid. I wouldn’t like to underscore his effort though. It wasn’t that charming but it was at least attention-grabbing.
Think about it!
