This was a very interesting pre-fashion-week day, full of shows and presentations talking about wearability. I didn’t expect it to be that busy! NYC is always a source of excitement!
I was very impressed by the beautiful combos of materials at the Ann Yee presentation. The designer gave us an interview about her FW 14 collection which was all about the new-age nomad – a stylish woman who travels a lot and wants to feel comfy and confident at all times. Cool highlight of the looks: the models’ blue lips!
Then I met with the upcoming designer of the brand Cityzen by Azin at the presentation of her charming collection of scarves, bags, and garments adorned with satellite view prints from various places on earth. I had a little chat as well in which she explained that her scarves are available in a gift packaging which includes a short guide to the city depicted as satellite picture on each one of them.
My next visit was to the Gilded Age store at South Street Seaport, where I saw some amazing hand-painted jeans and menswear for casual moments! Wildfox at Pier 59 was also a collection about stylish wearability with some wonderful seperates for women who see comfort as a priority. Together with the beautiful clothes I loved the models’ hair! It was natural waves that flatter almost all faces!
Finally I stopped by the new Club Monaco flagship store opening in Soho where I had the opportunity to see some very chic looks for next season. Minimalism and fine details were the key elements, as well as a polished look with a modern twist! The store is very cozy and spacious, triggering my appetite for more shopping !
What followed was dinner with a very fashionable friend at the Lure Fishbar in Soho! It was lots of fun! Stay tuned for more NY MB Fashion Week coverage soon!
