I think that red is still a signature color for Holidays. In others words, in many different shades, it can be called the ‘par excellence’ festive color. For that matter, I decided to play around the whole idea, creating many different versions of a red dress outfit. I firstly matched my satin Karen Millen dress with an MCM bag in a brighter red shade, Fendi ballerinas with red detail and a cluster of hand-made bracelets (one of them is red). Then, I switched into Sebastian high-heels decorated with coral red crystals and half-red sole, and finally I added a red, intricately tied Eileen Fisher scarf and a feathery Accessorize band adorned with crystals. In all these versions, I was doing a layered look, with a black Marks & Spencer top inside and I was wearing a wonderful limited edition red lipstick; Lancôme’s L’Absolut Rouge created in collaboration with Kate Winslet’s Golden Hat Foundation.
