Makis Tselios: Trying or Over-Trying?

makis_tselios1Red, black, silver, lace, see-through fabrics, glossy leather and half boots constituted a kind of style that can be limited to certain situations (e.g. clubbing and partying) and seems to represent a type of sexiness that is aged and overworn. Makis TseliosFall/Winter 2010/11 collection was quite “prêt-a-porter”, in the sense of lacking sophistication and teen-inspired seduction. I don’t know how to cope with the fact that I’ve seen such apparel somewhere, again and again, even in low-end stores. One of them, a laced skirt with a tailored jacket, I’ve seen on Madonna, the original being a Dolce & Gabbana look. Nevertheless, I should admit that there were some brilliant pieces in between, which you can identify as well. I’m sorry Makis, but I’m a little disappointed this season…
