This is a folk style outfit centered around my new magnificent brocade skirt from the Creatures of the Wind collection. This upcoming designer duo specializes in unexpected motifs and textures.
I’ve seen those intricate patterns in folkwear throughout the Mediterranean and not only. There are certain metallic hints here that make my skirt even more festive and ideal for the New Year’s Eve festivities.
To further enhance the folk element of my choice I accessorized it with Kenneth Jay Lane oversize filigree earrings equally golden with the trim of the flared panel below the knee.
To make my skirt stand out, I combined it with the simplest pink Brooks Brothers shirt and complimented it with similar floral patterns on my fishnet Wolford tights. Since this season we have to keep our feet warm and stylish I ended up with fur-trimmed MICHAEL Michael Kors wedge ankle-boots. I think they blend perfectly with the rest of the folkish pieces here.
