Givenchy debuts 2010 launching two brand new fragrances dedicated to women. Francois Demachy, the head of LVMH olfactory development department, created “Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy”, a floral edition, representative of the aristocratic couture values of the House. The vintage-like ribbed fracon with golden metal stopper contains scents of tangerine, Italian winter lemon, shiso (Japanese basil), rose, ylang ylang, musk, ambrette seed and tonka. According to its creator, it’s “an imaginary rose in dewy morning”. The ad’s knightly spirit incorporated by model Magdalena Frackowiak, shot in the park of a French château by Liz Collins, is further reinforced by her black cape designed only for that purpose by Ricardo Tisci. The second fragrance, “Dance with Givenchy” got its ad visuals due to the same photographer with Kelsey Van Mook as the dancing muse. It’s an indirect reference to the former Givenchy icon Audrey Hepburn who used to be a ballet dancer and wear similar black skinny pants or tights. The prism-shaped flacon, with the printed-in-black 4G logo in its front, a creative extension of the so-called signature make-up collection, contains a mixture of romantic accords of jasmine, ylang ylang, apple, mandarin, orange blossom, wood and musk.
