The essentials for a day in the sun are many and you really have to take into consideration every parameter of your activities on the beach, so as to be protected and fully equipped to enjoy the seaside breeze. I would highly recommend to take with you a beauty case with travel-size products (mostly skin care), but also another small purse with first aid and useful tools, which most fashionistas call it a ‘survival kit’.

But you also need a backup outfit and swimsuit, couple of nylon bags to keep things that get wet, reading material (magazines and books), lightweight towels, a sarong that can be turned into a mat, wide-brimmed hats, a steel bottle full of water, some cereal bars, flip flops and sneakers to walk on a sandy or a rocky beach without the slightest inconvenience.

And now, let’s open the beauty case! It should be roomy enough to include: body, hair, and face sunscreens (some of you prefer powder with SPF to avoid ruining your makeup), after-sun products to restore moisture in your skin, hair repair masque, spray, or conditioner, relief creams and gels for bites, blisters and sunburns, a water-proof mascara, elastic bands and a hair brush, a nail polish, and probably a bronzer! Just prioritize and visualize your needs while packing for the beach. It’s true that you need a big summer tote, but you will be saved from many disasters! I tried to do the shopping for you but would love to get your ideas as well!
Happy summer, ladies!
xoxo,
Elena Sendona
