NYFW is a huge constellation of presentations, events, shows and openings and traditionally kicks off couple of days before the official opening. That was again the case, and so I was very excited to attend the Epson Digital Couture presentation on Tuesday, where designers vividly translated tech innovation into bold colors, and the hip crowd grooved into cool tunes and mesmerizing cocktails.
On Wednesday I also went to Sutton Place for Lisa Perry’s mind-blowing presentation of equally bold colors and designs. Being eternally inspired by the 60s and the 70s, she created some amazing neoprene and cotton A-line dresses, silk chiffon minis and maxis, Mongolian lamb tops and jackets as well as golden leather pieces juxtaposing with black, all revolving around her favorite laser-cut motif; oversized polka dots.
In the evening, I went to Lie Sangbong NYC boutique-opening cocktail party to see the Korean designer’s avant-garde creations in an amazing space decorated with glass tile floor installation and works of art, same we saw in September on his catwalk. His most artsy dresses were handing from the ceiling, and this too looked like a majestic installation! And see? Fashion Week starts today! So stay tuned for more!
Love!!!
