Lito Constantinou from Cyprus impressed us with her braid-inspired colorful collection for Spring/Summer 2010, presented during Athens Xclusive Designers Week. She participated at the New Designers Awards this season. Her toy-dresses, made of many materials were quite up-lifting and to some fellow designers, quite interesting. Lito looks like a mature kid strolling around materials and colors. She uses wire to lift-up some parts of her dresses, a practice that remind us of Halloween or dance costumes. Still she can’t be characterized “theatrical”. She’s just smartly playful. I liked very much her wedding dress which hides a spacewoman glare. Keep up playing, Lito, cause we appreciate your stuff!
