For Spring/Summer 2014 Richard Chai plays with subtle geometry, transparencies, layering, and the masculine element. To that end, he employs new slightly loose silhouettes, flowing fabrics, plenty of seersucker, leather, and hundreds of stripes! His color palette includes lots of white, red, black, and blue. He uses them either in the form of prints or as color blocking elements. There are some patchwork features and many elegant asymmetries.
He really wowed us at the MB Fashion Week without being loud or outrageous. It’s the interpretation of ‘chic’ in a modern woman’s realm! Love it!
