The Carolina Herrera Fall 2021 Collection presented digitally was a colorful celebration of our favorite metropolis: New York City. Join top models Alek Wek, Lulu Tenney, Ash Foo, Philyne, Effie Steinberg and Theresa Hayes as they showcase the collection at the city’s most iconic venues and atop the Herrera red tour bus! “On our 40th Anniversary year, the Fall 2021 collection was developed as a love letter to New York City. I was inspired by the effervescent attitude of New Yorkers – especially the very New Yorkers that form the heartbeat of our Atelier in the Garment District. This collection is a rallying cry devoted to the city that never quits. This collection combines the iconic sportswear sensibility of New York fashion and the dramatic elegance of the Carolina Herrera Atelier. Maximal prints in jumbo polka-dot and exaggerated giraffe are paired with an optimistic color palette of vibrant hues. A heart motif is so much more than just a design- it is a reminder to love. Love ourselves. Love each other. Love our city. And love getting dressed. This motif is found throughout the collection in forms of ankle-length intarsia knits, precious embroideries, and custom molded buttons. Taffeta is given a modern edge, cut as the new shirtgown silhouette with cinched waist, or as a rainbow skirt created with French seaming. Technicolor sequins and exuberant bursts of tulle in pink and red celebrate brighter days ahead of togetherness and joy.”
