The magic Korean couple in collaboration with stylist Tina Chai, make-up artist Christian McMulloch and hair stylist Matthew Morris for Shu Uemura Art of Hair prepared a standing-models show that proved to be inspirational. Everybody talked about the alabaster faces, the natural-looking, frizzy ponytails and the admirable simplicity of the outfits. Using silk and viscose in pink, ivory, white, slate blue and black, they made great New York City Chic pieces characterized by geometry and precision. Intricate outpockets, geometric motifs, sophisticated lapels, artistic colorful prints and the interplay of angles and curves were major details. I was impressed by the fresh-looking mini dresses and skirts, the short jackets, the tailored tops, the long layered jackets, the cigarette pants and many other features. The conservative shirts and polo-shirt dresses reminded us of school years and costumes, but they were far more feminine. The geometrical approach was further reinforced with black and white prints of overlapping circles in orderly synthesis as well as the net-like structures which served as a second layer in adorable clothes.
