Fashion is all about glamour and desirability but it gets nicer when it’s also about compassion and generosity. And I’m so happy when learning about initiatives that try to combine inner and outer beauty helping other people share that wonderful vibe!
Style Fashion Week makes their debut kicking off New York Fashion Week on September 10-12 with over 25 amazing designer runway shows and presentations in a beautiful & breathtaking iconic venue, Gotham Hall, located 36th Street and Broadway. In association with the Eleanor Lambert Foundation, they will open the season’s calendar with the “Official New York Fashion Week” Press Party. Editors, writers, photographers, bloggers, social media gurus, and the Press Industry’s elite from all over the world are anticipated to attend!
The Fashion Week Press Party was a long honored tradition until it was taken away. Now, to the delight of fashion enthusiasts around the world, Style Fashion Week is bringing it back!
Style Fashion Week has a line up of incredible runway shows and presentations, featuring Malan Breton presenting a collection for men and women inspired by his recent travels to Taiwan’s Sun Moon Lake, as an Ambassador to the country of Taiwan for Tourism. Malan Breton’s collections have received critical acclaim across mainstream fashion media. This season Malan Breton continues his ‘A Journey to Taiwan’ series with a collection called “Reflections”.
David Tupaz or else “The Darling of Las Vegas”, will grace the runway with his chic, elegant, and dazzling womenswear collection. Another sneak peek comes from renowned Pet Couture Fashion Designer Anthony Rubio, who, as a surprise, will present a womenswear collection.
As the lineup continues, Anjé by Angela Brasington will present her chic and sophisticated lifestyle brand for the modern woman who knows what she wants. Made in America, each garment beautifully balances form and function while employing only the most luxurious fabrics on the market.
Strength is at the heart of Nikki Lund SS’16 womenswear collection. With an emphasis on natural fabrications, cotton is the core material for the season. City tribalism is evoked in exaggerated fluid silhouettes and soft floral prints.
Nancy Vuu will present a collection that reflects hope over fear, featuring inspirational designs of hoop skirts and silk rosettes that take us to a place where fashion is stepping out of a fairy tale!
Another design duo making strides is Uwi Twins; Reuben and Levi escaped the Rwandan Genocide and now are unveiling SS’16 in NYC presenting “I Left My Heart In Africa,” a collection that is bringing hints of bold colors and compliments of animal prints, inspired by the safaris on their recent trip back to Africa.
Cesar Galindo, creator of the “CZAR” collection, will do a sneak peek presentation allowing editors, photographers, and guests to view pieces of his new SS16 looks.
With many more designers on the lineup, Style Fashion Week New York will definitely be one of the season’s highlights. On September 11, 2015, the team along with designers, press attendees, guests, and staff will pause for “A MOMENT OF SILENCE” in honor of the lives that were taken during the tragic event that took place on Sept.11, 2001.
So can’t wait to attend!
