I’ve been watching talented Chinese designers presenting during New York Fashion Week for some seasons now, and I’ve been seriously surprised whenever originality and strong cultural heritage becomes a fresh reality to shake the world of fashion as a valuable contribution. So, once more, I’m invited to a collective that has become an important part of the shows in NYC!
This time FASHION SHENZHEN brings 12 Rising Star Designer Brands from China to New York Fashion Week to present their exclusive Spring/Summer 2016 fashion collections. Unconventional fashion spans the spectrum from beautifully embellished or simplistic day into evening, dresses and ball gowns, casual sportswear, pantsuits, lavish outerwear, sweeping ponchos, serapes, knitwear, and many more!
It’s an esoteric blending of Eastern Culture and Western Aesthetic. It comes as a combination of Western architectural structure with a beautiful mode of floral patterns, worked throughout various inspirations such as the ancient Dunhuang frescos and the Chinese ancient calendar. It’s an actual journey to another world who aspires to reinvent aesthetics globally.
